You must have found posts about force installing windows 10 by going to some folder and deleting files and then run cmd as administrator etc. etc. While that method works fine for downloading Windows 10, but chances are that Windows 10 is already downloaded on your machine. Lets find out how to force upgrade to windows 10 just by a simple registry tweak!

Chances are that Windows 10 must have been downloaded to your PC already. But it did not install because Microsoft want you to wait for weeks or months. Anyways! Let’s cut the crap and see how to upgrade to Windows 10 without deleting any folders or files.

STEP 1: Check out if there is a folder named $Windows.~BT on your C drive (or Widows partition) – Like “C:\$Windows.~BT”.

STEP 2: Open the folder and view its contents. it will be something similar as shown below.

STEP 3: Just check the total size of this folder (Select all, right click, properties). If it is around ~3.87 GB, you are lucky my friend!

STEP 4: Run Registry editor and go to the setting - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\OSUpgrade and create a new DWORD (32 bit) Value.

STEP 5: Name it AllowOSUpgrade

STEP 6: Right click on the Value and click Modify

STEP 7: Change it from 0 to 1

Finally you will see something similar to this:
STEP 8: Restart your PC!

STEP 9:  Open Control Panel (on Desktop) and then open Windows Update from the Control Panel. You should now be able to click the Get Started button to upgrade to Windows 10. Just click that button, follow the prompts and Upgrade to Windows 10 options visible!

So I thought of writing this blog entry dedicated to adding certificates for WPA2 Enterprise secured network. Please note that I have a HTC Hero (GSM) which is having Android OS 1.5 (Yes I resisted myself from rooting it with 2.1, but the official update is coming soon). I will update this entry when I’ll get my hands on Android 2.1 UPDATE: For in...
